Independence Day

As I look forward to this weekend for many reasons. Family, Friend, BBQ, Food, Fireworks, celebration at the park and maybe a few cool ones...LOL!!! I look forward with a heavy heart!!! Even through we will look to the fun and joy of this Holiday, there are Soldiers, Sailor, Police and Firefighters who willing put their family aside for us everyday!
What about their Family's? What about their celebrations? The children who don't have Mommy or Daddy there to watch the parades with them. What about the Mother and Father home with these Children who have to sit silently and watch their Children. Knowing the all pieces to their family puzzle are there.
Did you ever think about the thoughts of these children. They have no understanding to why their parent is gone just that they are not there to be with them.
We talk about the few the brave the one who serve us to keep this precious thing we call freedom!! I'm saying there is more to be grateful for, the one at home that struggle each and everyday to just maintain! To keep their home, family and hearts intact.
I have watch this many times with very close friend and family. They send their love ones off for months at a time knowing this is what their family has chosen as their life's path.

This post is for you!!! May god wrap his loving hands around your families and protect each and everyone. Your strength, what can I says about that? Amazing....to do what you do everyday! I look to have that kind of strength. Your ability to give so much to the world without really even knowing what your Hero may do for mankind. Your sacrifice there are no word to explain the gratitude we all should have to you and your children.
As I said this post is for all who do this of us day in and day out. There are two very special people who I want you to know how much what their families do right now for us!!

To my Niece Celeste: Your family is amazing!!! I know it's so hard to be away from the one you love. Stay strong and keep SHOPPING!!!!!

To my BFF Erin: No words can explain what you mean!

So as you all enjoy this Holiday weekend celebrate your hearts out! Do it for all of those who serve! When you see someone in a uniform you may have the urge to thank them, but don't forget to thank the one who support them!!!!

Have an AMAZING and safe weekend!!! Love our Country, our Men and Women who protect us!
Take lots of pictures!!!
Much Love,

A perfect life = Spirituality

I have noticed lately that many people are complaining that they are very dissatisfied and bored with their lives. They may have a great paying job, live in a nice house, and have a partner who they care about, but they are still not satisfied. Personally I believe we have all been so spoilt with the luxuries that the millennium has to offer, that many people are just plain bored. Although this is not the case for everyone, as many people hate their jobs, where they live, and also their partner, but if this is the case it would pretty much explain everything. But for those who have the necessities in life and are still unhappy, they are not alone.

It seems it doesn't matter where you live, if you haven't found some kind of quiet contentment within yourself, you're not going to be that happy. People fill their lives up with socializing,
work, and family, but rarely find something that they solely enjoy doing; that brings about a purpose. Some people try and fill this hole with religion, partners, addictions, you name it. But it's never long before we end up where we started.
I have to admit, what comes to mind is one word - spirituality. This is a topic that is arising in my circle of friends more commonly. Now I'm developing an understanding for it, and makes sense.

It's not about 'God' or anything religious, it seems to be about finding self love, self respect, and forgiveness within yourself and of others. People don't want to walk around holding a grudge anymore, it's like a cancer, and hate really eats you up inside.

It also appears to be about reflecting on the past and wondering what you can do to make yourself happier, for example, "If I could do anything what would it be?" These days that question is not always that difficult to attain. For people who really have a passion for something these days, they are more than often able to achieve it when they put their heads down. After that though, it's essential to take time out, and literally "smell the flowers", or none of it's worth the effort.

For me, it is finding the time at dusk to take a walk, and very peacefully watch the sunset. Sometimes I get so caught up in the beauty of it, that everything else around me doesn't exist, and then it becomes all worth it, because for that one moment my life is perfect.

As I study spirituality I learn life is simple we as humans make it filled with drama and complication!!! If we understand that the life in it's self just want happiness and peace it would be so much easier on us.

So go and make your perfect life follow your passion remember, "Passion fuels belief and passion rarely fails"

Jealousy is a Map

Jealousy is a Map

“Jealousy is a map. Each of our jealousy maps differs. Each of us will probably be surprised by some of the things we discover on our own. Jealousy is always a mask for fear: fear that we aren’t able to get what we want; frustration that somebody else seems to be getting what is rightfully ours even if we are too frightened to reach for it. At its root, jealous is a stingy emotion. It doesn’t allow for the abundance and multiplicity of the universe. Jealousy tells us there is room for only one–one poet, one painter, (one photographer), one whatever you dream of being. The truth, revealed by action in the direction of our dreams, is that there is room for all of us." Julia Cameron

Embrace the message!!!!

They may come and go....

Is this true? Friends forever? After last night I believe it is!!!!

The old Saying goes...
A reason, A season or a Lifetime

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong -doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway); and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

I have been so very blessed in life to have the most incredible friendships!!! So many amazing people that have brought so many different messages to me.

I spent time last night with women I have known since I was 5 or 6 yrs old.
The connection is the same as it was in school, not a beat missed. To know once someone in your life their place never is gone it may be vacant for a while. No one can will will ever fill their spot in your life, it's theirs and theirs only!

Friend are forever when they have come to you for a lifetime reason!!!

Thank you to all my friends!!! The blessing you have given me are truly amazing!!!

Much Love

What's for Dinner!!

Chili Verde

If there is one thing I LOVE it's Mexican Food!!!
I learn to cook Mexican food from some of the best Mexican cooks I know.

So here is great Chili Verde recipe and it's pretty simple
6 Tomatillos
2 JalapeƱos peppers
2lbs Boneless pork
3 to 5 tablespoons flour

1. Place tomatillos and chili in a medium saucepan cover veggies with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until tomatillos are soft about 15 minutes

2. Drain veggies and place in blender, add about 2 cups of water and puree the tomatillos until smooth.

3. Dice pork into bite size pieces. Fry in large pan.

4.When pork is complete cooked cover the pork in flour. About 3 to 5 tablespoons. Depends on how thick you want your Verde.

5. After flour is toasted pour tomatillo puree over the pork. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.

Enjoy!!!

O how the Garden will grow...I hope !!!

The Mora's Garden 2011: We have planted everything from Tomatoes to Pumpkins

New house, new garden and new challenge!!!! This is the second time we had to plant most of the garden this year!!!

SLUGS
Everywhere, we go, we find Slugs!! The little buggers ate most everything in the garden . So my Dad found a book called
"Old Time Gardening Wisdom"
by Gary Baker

This recipe worked great and the Slugs are gone!!!

6 cloves garlic minced
1 small onion minced
1 tlb Cayenne pepper
1 tlb dish soap
1 qt warm water
Mix all and let it sit over night!

Something else that is new in the garden this year is the Potato Box seen in the image above!! We are supposed to get 50lbs of Potatoes from this box by the end of the growing season!!

Much Love!!!
